50th birthday games ideas

It's my partners 50th in a few weeks. We have an escape room planned for the day, I need ideas for the evening.

There will be around 10 adults. This will be DP's first sober birthday, I want to make it special, so fun without drinking.

Can I have some awesome games ideas please. xx

I think it depends on the people who are coming.

So, just me personally, the idea of an Escape room doesn't appeal to me, but, if that is what the birthday person wanted, I would go and have a go, "for them" as it were, but after that I'd just want to go for a meal. Adding on an evening of more engineered fun and games might just be too much.
OTOH, I have a friend who LOVES board games. Again, not my choice but I'd be happy to go round for an evening of Board games because I know it makes him happy, and, tbf, he has a really good selection and some of them end up being quite a laugh.

So, are the people who are coming board games people ?
In which case, would they all bring a favourite game ?

Or are you thinking more of darts / table football / ping pong / even beer pong type games (without beer I realise) where people are moving more ?

Adults/kids or mixture

How about card games? There's a variety of "cards against...", the werewolf one, jenga snap, exploding kittens, all that sort of stuff
