Read an article by a renowned female writer earlier who talked to her readers (most likely 30/40+ year old women) about spending with various groups of friends, making new friends, looking up old friends etc…
Badly paraphrased but the general gist seemed to be that women have hundreds of fun female friends - old, potential and current - actively waiting in the wings.
Maybe I’m just feeling crap as some of my friends seem particularly rubbish since Covid, but I have a few school friends, two Uni friends and a few mum friends. I would say that’s pretty normal. We catch up when we can but it’s not that frequently.
Maybe it’s being part of the glitterati that is London media life (and probably exaggerated), but it left me feeling a bit..flat.
