I'm looking for fishing line

I had a look in the local shop but all they had was a reel of clear line. It looked very thin and fragile and easily tangled.

I am looking for a fishing line that would be thicker. Perhaps 2.5 mm or 3mm in diameter. It isn't for fishing. It's for another project. I was to knit with it. There's a lady online who knit a fence with fishing line.

Have you looked online

This is a picture of the knitted fence.

Does anyone here know anything about fishing line? Where can I get a sturdy fishing line.

Can’t help but that looks so cool. Keep us posted on the project.

What about strimmer wire? That might be the right thickness, but I'm not sure it will be affordable, it always seems quite expensive when I buy it for my strimmer. But you might be able to get it in bulk on eBay?

As far as I know, fishing line is always really fine, but maybe you can get thicker line for bigger fish?

I don't think that is fishing line, it's nylon cord used for making nets.

Ah, cross posted, I thought you meant fishing line for rod fishing, not net fishing.

Google fishing net thread, there's loads of options.

Coastal Nets sell some lovely coloures fishing rope, the website says she used fishing twine

it’s net thread (as it says in the article you posted) not fishing line
