Who is using Snappy Snaps???

I've just spotted a new branch of Snappy Snaps on our high street. There is already one at the other end.

I've never seen anyone in the original one and there's no one in the new one either (although admittedly it IS 9.30 on a Tuesday morning).

Who is their target audience? What can they possibly offer that you can't get online, or at Sainsbury or from an app.

If you shop there - why?......!

Lighthearted but a genuine question!

Maybe it's a front for some other dodgy type of work?? Am sure there was an episode in line of duty or a similar programme with money laundering going on in a printing shop! Obviously it could just be a normal shop and maybe they are relocating from the other shop?

I noticed one open during lockdown when very few shops were allowed to open. My mind was boggled that snappy snaps still even existed but I thought it was even more of a reach that they could be described as essential!

My mum uses them. They will help her print photos from her phone.

Money laundering 🤣

there used to be a snappy snaps opposite the office where I worked. I got photos printed there - I emailed them and they were waiting for me when I popped in at lunchtime.

I honestly suspect it is a front 😂
I am joking…

Ours always seems pretty busy. I've used it a few times to print photos for the DDs walls and they were great when I needed passport photos.

They also sell loads of stuff you can out your photo on (keyring, etc) so I expect they're used a lot for presents.

greenacrylicpaint · 16/08/2022 10:09

I use them to print photos.
also for passpprt photos.

TheVanguardSix · 16/08/2022 10:10

They do really nice passport photos for 3 citizenship families like mine!
Also if you want nice prints to frame/gifts, they’re great. My local one is brilliant. Ours is pretty busy.

I was thinking it must be a front too!Wink

But clearly lots of people using it then!

We do our passport applications using our phones and upload a selfie - which means I can get a photo I don't cringe at for the next 10 years!

And if we ever print off pictures we do that online.

Genuinely shocked that the majority don't do this. Snappy Snaps feels like it should be a concession within another store rather than it's own entity.

Snappy Snaps are , I believe, franchises.
I googled and it said that it was founded in 1983.

I doubt it's a front but there are quite a few shops around now that are.

I went into our local one pre-lockdown to get son’s passport photo. I was amazed how many members of staff they had for such a small (tiny) shop.
