Don't know how to access my wedding pics

Hi. My friend took our wedding pictures for us and I've been so excited to see them !

I received an email with all the pics linked in there but when I clicked on them it took me to google drive saying I don't have access to the pictures. Does anyone know how I'm supposed to view them ? I tried creating a google account but it said I didn't have access to the pics and to use an account that does, does this mean only my friend has access to them through her account ?
So annoying as I just want to see them now !
She isn't sure how to do it either lol

Ask your friend to give you access, sounds like the folder has been made private.

When you click on it is there an option to request access to it from the owner of the folder? That will ping a request to your friend.

What did your friend say when you asked her why you couldn't access them?

Surely she could save them elsewhere? She shouldn't be a photographer if she can't handle google drive

She just said she'd get her partner to have a look today. She's not very technical lol. I just thought the pics would come through as an attachment and I could choose to save each one

You shouldn’t have to request access to each photo. Get her to share the whole file with your email address

She needs to change the permissions to “anyone with the link can access”

As saltandpepper says. She needs to change the access to everyone with the link.
