How many euros for 48 hours in Dublin?

For a hen do this weekend? I've been before and know it isn't cheap. That was 2015 though, think it was 5 euros for a pint of Guinness. Can anyone update that?

We have some planned activities that are paid for. Hotel is central so won't need to travel around. I will need spends for food and drink... I do drink, and am expecting to have a few pints of Guinnness.

Thanks!

Depends where you go. If you are planning on drinking in temple bar expect about €8 a pint (yes really) most other places €5-6.
Food at most places expect around €15 a main, more if it’s fancy.

@Lastqueenofscotland2 Thank you 😊 Will probably end up in templebar

What cards do you have? If Dublin is like anywhere else in the world, a lot of bars will be card only, so you don't need 'euros' as such, but it's worth checking how much you'll get charged to pay by card because some have a per transaction fee so you don't want lots of drinks, meals, coffees etc as it will add up.

Have a look at:

and just put your spending money in the account with the best card, then take a back up in case of loss etc.

of it’s lunch, dinner and drinks - about €200 per day.

I live in Dublin and over the last few months eating out in the city centre I’ve noticed prices have increased. I know Dublin has never been cheap but I and friends have commented on it a lot recently. I’d say don’t be surprised to pay €20 plus for a main in not particularly fancy restaurants. I couldn’t comment on the price of a pint but I nearly fell off my chair a few weeks ago when I was charged a tenner for a glass of wine while waiting in a pub for a friend.

Maybe google temple bar restaurants and look at the menus to get an idea of what you can expect.

It's pricey. Main courses (e g even a burger are hitting 20)
Can totally recommend the Viking Splash tour though! It's amazing. Recently did it.

Ten euro isn't a lot for a glass of wine if you're used to UK city prices. A friend of mine had a 'falling off a chair at over a tenner (pounds) for a glass of wine' in a north of England suburban bar/restaurant place at least a couple of years before COVID, fuck knows how much it is now. Pints here are £6 now and again, that's northern England city prices, so London will be more.

Have a few drinks in Temple Bar for the diddly music but definitely look at going to House for a few drinks one night. They charge in late ish but get their before they do. You will have a great night there (I live in dublin) :)

Oooh, curious to know what the planned activities are? !!

Just to say, Camden Street and South William Street are where the natives go to party. Still expensive but huge choice of restaurants and bars. However, I understand the draw of Temple Bar for visitors.

Pity you won't see the REAL Dublin as you may not have time, but it has its charms that many visitors don't get the time to see, and therefore think Dublin is "Boring". It is far from that!

You’re probably right, I think I’m just used to getting it by the bottle Grin.
