Any idea what this could mean, please? It's from a friend.

lio8z z z z

DH thinks someone sat on the keyboard. I think the "z z z" could be "xxx".
Any ideas?

It's an arse-dial.

CrapBag39 · 15/08/2022 19:18

Just say “sorry, what was that last message?”

JubileeTissues · 15/08/2022 19:42

Do they have a toddler?

Oouli · 15/08/2022 19:45

Shes leant on her phone and sent jibberish.

Georgyporky · 15/08/2022 19:52

She's in mourning, I can't ask her. No toddlers around now.
I know that 8=ate, I was hoping someone might have a clue about the rest of it.

It doesn’t mean anything. Either it was an accident or she’s very drunk and pressing wrong buttons. I would reply “Hi, thinking of you, call anytime if you’d like a chat. xxx”

Why can't you ask her? Especially if you think she meant to message you?

Annabananna1 · 15/08/2022 20:09

Probably sent it by accident in her handbag or pocket or something

Timeforabiscuit · 15/08/2022 20:10

If they're grieving, then just phone and talk to them.

EmmaC78 · 15/08/2022 20:11

That clearly is not a proper message, it's been sent by accident.

Imissmoominmama · 15/08/2022 20:13

Hope you’re ok- did you mean to send that? Xxx

That’s all you need to do.

Oouli · 15/08/2022 20:13

As others have said, if she's mourning ring and talk or send a message saying sorrybut you didn't understand. Seems far better to actually talk about what she means then to guess and get it wrong.

PowerPack · 15/08/2022 20:14

If course you can message her. "Are you OK, I've had an odd message from you, did you mean to send it?" Or words to that effect.

Message or not, being "in mourning" is all the more reason to get in touch IMO.

MakeadealwithGod · 15/08/2022 20:15

Yes just say, are you ok?

fancyfrogs · 15/08/2022 20:18

That genuinely translates to nothing. It's not an abbreviation of anything
'Are you ok, you mean to message me? X' all you need to do
