Hot water dispensers

I saw on a money saving thread that they’re cheaper than kettles. We’ve really cut down on how much water we boil - DH always filled it up for “fresh” water 🙄

But I was wondering if you have one - does it cut down electricity usage AND does it really feel like it’s as hot as boiling? I’ve been looking at some but one had a review about how it wasn’t boiling and their tea was horrible. Cannot have that!

We have an Insinkerator. The water is 99deg and is hot enough for tea for me. As to costs versus a kettle I haven't a clue but wouldn't be without it.

We have the Quooker, water comes out at 100 degrees so no different to a kettle and tea is normal! I love it for the convenience but no clue on bills as I don’t monitor them that closely tbh. Ours was about £1500 so I imagine it would be a long time before you saved that much unless you’re making tea on an industrial scale.
