Very very random post

Hello, so very random I tried to flush my own ears out and caused an infection which I know I'm such an idiot😂 I did it because I felt like it was blocking up, so my ear ended up blocked with water because I tried flushing it at home, went doctors I'm on antibiotics I have 2 days worth left out of 7 pain is so much better but my ear is still very blocked pretty much can't hear, I'm worried if it's perforated it or something now has anyone had the same situation??? Hoping it's just blocked and not damaged my ear now, or whatever it is can hopefully heal on it's own

Don't worry about it, my DH is always getting something like this happen whenever he goes swimming and gets water in his ears. The water makes the wax swell up and blocks the tubes. I think he's had a perforated eardrum from childhood too, which doesn't help any.

My ears felt blocked up all the time. I eventually went to the GP who referred me to Audiology and I got hearing aids - it was hearing loss caused by an infection years ago that was causing that feeling.

I was thinking maybe I got one from flushing it out maybe I did it too hard, I'm not sure either that or it's that being blocked with wax, I'll take these antibiotics and I'll go back praying it's not anything bad, my dad just had an operation for his perforated ear drum I don't want that lol, thanks for the replies Ladies x
