I’m having an existential crisis…

My first born DS turns 2 tomorrow, 19 days ago my identical twin DD’s were born and today I bought my first pair of mom jeans. Not even one pair, I bought two and I think I like them! I am slightly beside myself, I never wanted to be one of the ‘mumsy’ mums. I wanted to retain some of my edgy, high flying professional image… even if I did wave goodbye to any chance of ever being remotely cool again as I picked up the MPV a few weeks ago. Not that ‘cool’ is probably the right word any more… see now I’m old, off trend and mumsy! What does this mean for my future??

Has anyone else survived this? What did you become?

Congratulations on your twins. Mom jeans are fashionable and not for mums only or did you mean something else? I don't think being cool is achievable with kids that young. Sorry.

I think you can wear what you like.

It's a necessary phase to maintain your sanity, OP. When your DCs are a bit older, you can regain your coolness. Don't even try it now. Focus on your babies.

You're doing brilliantly to even be thinking about wearing jeans 19 days postpartum with twins! I lived in leggings and joggers for months and that was after one baby.
