If you can’t staff your business properly then reduce the service you are offering

Local pool: we’re having staffing issues with lifeguards. Due to this you will be asked to get out of the pool during your sessions so lifeguards can take a break.

How about you reduce the amount of people you’re taking bookings from and you take the brunt of your staffing issues instead of expecting paying customers to take it on the nose?

Customer service: “we’re experiencing high demand” the second their phone lines open.

Thats not high demand, it’s your NORMAL demand you just haven’t hired enough staff to deal with it

Is it an open air pool? I wouldn't mind getting out for 15 minutes for the lifeguard to have a break as long as it's not a regular thing. Maybe someone rang in sick.

Customer services, yes they're liars. I've rung st 3am before and got the "we are currently experiencing high volumes of calls" lol.

Basically it pays companies for US to wait around.

Died of shock when my HA phone line stopped talking about abnormally high number of calls.
