Non blanching rash after visiting seaside

I’m posting here for traffic. We went to Llandudno on Wednesday and spent a couple of hours on the beach. I went into the sea and paddled my feet for five minutes. I suffer from very sore feet during the summer and get cracked heels which often bleed. I wasn’t keen to go to the beach with my feet the way they are, but did it for my DS 8.

Yesterday I was in the changing room in a clothes shop and I noticed in the mirror three really bright red spots on my abdomen about the size of a 5 pence piece. When I got home I did the blanching test and they don’t disappear when a glass is placed over them. They remain very red. They aren’t itchy and I feel well with no other symptoms.

I know with children you should seek immediate medical attention, but can’t find much information for adults. What to do? I was going to wait and see if they settle down or if I develop any other symptoms or maybe I should be calling 111?

I can get the small petechiae rash. A couple dots here and there if I itch my skin a lot. Can pop up if the skin is very sensitive or irritated. A worrying petechia rash would be more wide spread I think. If it’s unusual for you then get it checked out.

Trauma to that area of the skin can cause it. Such as pressure on the skin especially if it is localised to one area

Bites that haven't started to itch yet?

It could just be insect bites that you have irritated. I honestly don't think you need to be too concerned if you feel OK.

Thanks for replies. It may be insect bites. The red spots are slightly raised. I’ll just keep an eye on them.
