Good luggage for regular air travel

Can anyone recommend a decent cabin size suitcase for regular air travel - flying monthly.

I've just pulled out my IT bag and it's a mess, only a year old and we haven't used it much.

I'm prepared to spend a bit - but not Tumi level money.

TIA

We've had our sumsonite luggage for just over 10 years now and it is stilling strong and looking good!
I fly loads, fits overhead and you can get plenty in for a few days/weekend stay, plus I put 2 laptops, iPad, headphones and snacks!

who will you mainly be flyng with? as different airlines have different size rules

Flying with various people, work pay for it, size more about how much I need to take, rather than wanting to check in etc

Antler have excellent cabin suitcases, we've been pleased with ours and use them 10-12 times a year for leisure / business travel. They've stood the test of time for the last five years and are light but sturdy

I'm not sure what your budget is but you get what you pay for in my opinion and Thule luggage is excellent in that respect.

I have two large carpetbags by www.carpetbags.co.U.K.

Bought in 1995, been through 17 years of international job, and 30 years of holidays, they still look like new. They are easy to spot on a carousel and double well as seats/pillows if you get delayed anywhere.

They aren't very formal looking though and they have gone up horrendously in price.
