Pint of shandy and 2mg diazepam

Need to take some diazepam for muscle spasm
but I’ve drank a pint of shandy

will that be ok ?

Yes. That’s a very dose of diazepam and you’ve basically had a very weak drink.

you’d have to drink more, & a proper full-strength drink, and take a higher dose for it to be dangerous.

You'll be fine. It's not a high dose and shandy is barely alcoholic.

I’ve drunk a bottle of wine and taken 20mg - you’ll be fine.

@Iflyaway oh come on seriously don’t panic the OP! 2mg is the lowest dose you can possibly get, it’s only prescribed for muscle spasms and not for anxiety or sleeplessness or any other uses of diazepam.

a pint of shandy is half a lager or beer.

On that low dosages that is NOT what is meant about not mixing diazepam and alcohol. 5 or 10 mgs of diazepam and a regular glass of wine or a large gin & tonic for example? No.

I have a diazepam prescription. It’s stronger than 2mg. I have had a drink and a diazepam before occasionally it has not killed me. You’ll be absolutely bloody fine

@big diazepam is also good for hangovers so I guess you were getting in early, good work

Yes, that's fine It's a small dose of diazepam with hardly any alcohol

@Iflyaway OP was not taking diazepam recreationally she was taking it for muscle spasms. I do not ‘do’ diazepam recreationally. Let’s hope you never get ill and have to take any “pills”. But I agree with you about the weed! Legalise it. I have cancer. It helps with nausea and lots of things.

I am sorry to hear about your struggles with your health. I would never judge people for taking whatever medicine they need. I'm lucky that I am pretty healthy, even in "old age" and who knows what's around the corner, eh?
