Can I get a fist bump from fellow pregnant ladies in this HEAT

Extra points awarded to you if you are currently in London or the SE.

More extra points if you are currently in labour.

I'm in the SW and at the point where if someone is coming to my house, or even to my door, they are volunteering to see me naked. Sorry DPD man, needs must.

🥵🤪

👋🏻 34+3 and I am melting 😞🥵

W00p · 12/08/2022 16:32

41 weeks- it's hell

botbump · 12/08/2022 16:36

Only 12 weeks pregnant in the SE, but suffering!
I can't imagine how you poor ladies feel!

I'm 16 weeks in the SW and it's awful.
Last year my DD was born end of July and that was so difficult in the heat. I didn't think I'd be as bad this time as I'm earlier but nope, still struggling 🤣

Coffeaddict · 12/08/2022 16:42

I'm 26 weeks and in the sw ( 33 degrees here too) and oh dear god.

I need to go get my son from nursery in about half an hour and my air con is shit 😫

CurbsideProphet · 12/08/2022 16:44

30 + 3 and it feels awful even here in the NW. So sorry for those of you where it's even hotter. My feet and ankles keep puffing up from the heat so I'm under instruction from my midwife to put them up at least every hour.

I don't know about you but everyone keeps saying "sleep now because you won't when baby is here" 🙄 I'm thinking about all these nights where I'm downstairs reading at 3am because it's too hot to sleep. I'd rather be up holding my baby than sweating!

Ha! We celebrated that I wouldn't be heavily pregnant in summer and could instead appreciate being extra cosy over winter...how little we know! 😅

MrsFionaCharming · 12/08/2022 16:45

34+3 here. We’re having people round this weekend, so we’ve emptied the paddling pool. I miss it so much already!

QueenOfWeeds · 12/08/2022 16:45

14 weeks here and struggling. Hats off to anyone in their third trimester - this is miserable!

fromcitytocountry · 12/08/2022 16:57

34 weeks here and absolutely melting. I've barely left the house, have zero energy and my 3 year old is home all summer with limitless energy. My feet and ankles are so swollen and I cannot wait for this heat to be over!!

MotherHaryy · 12/08/2022 17:01

38+3 here, melting - Cannot wait for baby to show! Even had a sweep already to get baby out!🫠🫠

Say a prayer also for those TTC in this weather.

If your DoB is between April to June 2023, you should appreciate that your parents wanted you enough to touch each other during a heatwave.

lilroo87 · 12/08/2022 18:14

@botbump haha. I'm happy that I have normal sized feet this year.
Last year they ballooned so much that I couldn't wear any shoes or have my feet down for long, it was hellish!

HeyBlaby · 12/08/2022 18:29

Northwest but 36 weeks and with Covid, I think I deserve an extra point! The cankles are in full force.

🤣 April born here but Irish so no heatwave. Still made me laugh. My parents were 23, I'm sure it would have happened either way.

Squiff70 · 12/08/2022 19:09

38 week here and melting. Overnight is harder than during the day. I was awake at 3.50am just absolutely melting and awake for the rest of the night.

Squiff70 · 12/08/2022 19:09

OurChristmasMiracle · 12/08/2022 19:37

20 weeks. In south east London. Had to wear clothes as I was working today. Weekend plans include sitting in front of the portable air con I got last year and eating ice poles.

this heat can go back to the depths of hell cos that’s clearly where it’s come from!

20viona · 12/08/2022 19:45

34 weeks in 30 degrees of hell!
