If you work 26 hours a week, mon-fri (8.30 - 5.00 core hours) . How is this spread out across your working week? Ie short days/long days/half days etc

I have a new office based role and trying to work out my days, What I want (and what fits in with family life) V what the company wants. I'd like flexibility, they want me to have fixed hours,. So looking for a solution!
And ideas of how others work.
Sadly I can't do the job from home..
Thanks in advance!

I was on 24 hours, 3 days of 8. Now on 32, 4 days. I like having a midweek day off (though often use it for overtime) to get things done and have time in the house without the DCs.

Can you do the 26 over 4 days? That’s 9-4 4 days with a 30 min break and 1 day off.

When I did 26 hours, I did Mon/Weds/Fri 8-3 then Tuesday 8-1.

So all day Thursday off then a half day on Tuesday. But not too long away from work in case issues cropped up.
