Painfully broody

After 12 years of infertility, have decided to call it a day. I won't bore you with details but adoption and fostering are not an option, either.

I'm 37, so I don't think my brooding will disappear anytime soon. What can I focus on? How can I direct all of this broodiness?

Thought about a pet but I can't have a dog due to my working hours, and I'm allergic to cats.

Guess I'm just going to have to get used to it? 😞

Hey @CreateLow I'm so sorry you're in this position. I'm fortunate to have a DS now but for a while our ability to have a child was in doubt and I questioned all of this myself.

A lady I know who didn't have children (not through choice) once said to me 'you can still have a good life without children'. You might not be in a place to hear that but it totally turned things around for me. I started to focus on the positives in my life instead of being 'missing' children. It doesn't take it away but helped me to process it all.

Having said that, it's a grief process and you have to allow yourself the time and space to grieve and accept the life you expected but didn't happen. I hope you find peace in time Flowers
