Anyone else got the tomato faced sweaty toddler?

DS is really really fair and as soon as he gets slightly warm, looks like a tomato. Today for example at nursery they got freaked out as he was playing in the shade and when they looked over his cheeks were bright red as were his arms. It never seems to bother him.

whenever we go to soft play his hair is always wet with sweat by the time we leave and other parents always comment “oh he looks so hot” as though I’m being irresponsible in some way 😂

I think he must take after me as I’m a tomato as soon as I even think about exercising, but I’m half hoping he grows out of it.

all the other kids seem to be cool and collected without a red cheek in sight. Anyone else got the red sweaty kid?

I was (and still am!) the red, sweaty kid. Like you say as soon as the sun comes out, everyone else enjoying it - cool calm and collected, while I’m a melting heap Grin

Sympathies @watcherintherye I think it looks even more startling because he's so fair! maybe he won't grow out of it then haha

Both of mine looked like they'd come fresh from the shower after 10 minutes in the trampoline park last week!

Even when they're sleeping they swear buckets.

My two are also the sweaty/hot kids. DS(4) isn't too bad, but DD(8) is dripping within minutes. They both go bright red very quickly too! After five minutes in soft play (or the park in summer) they're like a couple of damp tomatoes. I think they get it from DH, he's very sweaty as well.

I used to have one of them. I always looked like the irresponsible parent who couldn't be bothered to apply sun cream. He grew out of it eventually
