I'm in a bad mood

Just that! I'm in a foul mood.

No real reason, I love the hot weather. A couple of people are being jackasses at work but nothing outrageous. I slept a little less than usual, that's it.

I just want to tell everyone to go fuck themselves.

Should I start drinking? It's almost 9.

Would drinking help? It might just put you into an even worse mood but also lower your inhibitions against demonstrating your bad mood.
Any large hills near you? Folklore suggests walking to a high point and looking down on everything in this kind of situation.
But in this weather I would not blame you at all, if you used the bus instead.

Giveronyoursausage · 11/08/2022 08:37

Do you need a drinking buddy? I've been in a foul mood all week even the sound of my own voice is pissing me off😉

Do you swim? Go for a long swim if you do. Then start drinking afterwards, if you still really want to. Or promise yourself a nice drink in a pub when they open, and walk to it. The exercise might help. Or have a shower and go back to bed for a nap.

I'd love to go for a walk and I'll do so after work.

It's the emotional labour of being a woman at work. Being told I'm "not being supportive" because I ask after a late report. Complete with tears. 20 more years of this horseshit.

A nap on a Thursday?

Snap! But I seem to spend my life in a slight rage about work at the moment.

A nap on a Thursday?

Any day can be a napping day. Working for a living is shite isn't it.

Coffeetree · 11/08/2022 09:30

Trauma-dumping friends. Hey, how am doing? No, we're still on you? Cool.

I actually don't mind working qua working. Just why with the drama? And I'm supposed to listen to the trauma dumping because I'm a woman.

I am also in a foul mood, I've been up all night being sick. Was suppose to go away today, H is being a knob and my DS is running wild. Cba

Coffeetree · 11/08/2022 09:41

Fuck them both. Husband can take kid to park, after cleaning the house and drawing you a bubble bath as a thank-you for bearing his child.

Supportive kind thoughts, Coffeetree. Give yourself treats like a a new paperback or a blow dry.The booze isn't helpful in this heat x

Coffeetree · 11/08/2022 09:54

Thank you. I've got student meeting/tutorials all day and my students have been working really hard and making me laugh.

I literally changed the wording slightly and sent that to my H hahaha thank you!

HSKAT · 11/08/2022 16:21

Hope your feeling better op.
Some days are shite

HMSSophia · 11/08/2022 17:01

Anyone and everyone is looking for someone to dump their moans and misery on, imo these days. Stand still for two mins and listen to someone and you'll be there for an hour nodding giving sage counsel and empathetic murmurs. And not once will they ask about you. It's like misery musical chairs.
