4 x a day on an empty stomach?

I’ve got a course of antibiotics with instructions to take 4 x a day on an empty stomach. I’m finding it hard to space things out enough. I guess I need to stop snacking but it’s really hard? Do drink count I seem to be drinking a glass of water all the time in this hot weather too. How strict do I need to be with this?

What antibiotic is it, does it say why strictly on an empty stomach or before meals.

An hour before breakfast, lunch and early dinner then at bedtime is how I did it. Water won’t count - other drinks would.

Water is fine. DD has had a few of that antibiotic recently and we time it meds at 6 brekkie at 8, meds at 10, lunch at 12, meds at 2, dinner at 4, then meds at 7. She goes to bed at 8 but you could have a late slice of toast/ snack around then if you needed it have dinner later and last dose of meds later

Flucloxacillin?
I set an alarm on my phone but sometimes went wrong.
Worth it for me though.

‘Empty stomach’ is defined on the instructions of a medication I’m taking is ‘at least 2hours after food and one hour before the next food’. Water doesn’t count but other drinks, especially those with milk in, should also not be taken.

Pharmacist's advice to me was it will work a bit better if you take it on an empty stomach, but it's not that it's dangerous or won't work at all, so just try and follow the instructions but don't stress if you've had a little something to eat or a drink.
