Ikea Beds

I'm looking to buy the Songesand double bed but don't understand the storage boxes underneath. Are they just on wheels independent of the bed? If I only want 2 drawers so do they fit the whole width of the bed?

I built the Songesand bed, but the single size, for my daughter. The boxes are just free wheeling under there but fit flush against the complete length of the bed frame and look perfect! And hold tons of crap. They don't quite fill the width of the single though.

It was pretty easy to put together solo. Her room has a wood floor so I don't know how the boxes would roll on carpet.

Already had IKEA Morgedal mattress and my daughter reports it is very comfy so that went on the new bed. Must be about 7 years old by now. We live close by an IKEA and I like a lot of their stuff.
