Vaping to quit smoking...

I am considering this because I'm really struggling to kick the fags. But I don't know much about vaping. How safe is it compared to smoking??

Well I still vape 5 years on with the minimum of nic available now. I use a refillable pod kit as that's easiest for me and I'm not into throwing clouds.

I can run for a bus now without wheezing. I don't get my annual bronchitis. I can taste and smell better. Never have any throat or chest issues now.

Just feel better and I don't reek of fags.

I gave up with a vape. Never looked back
Go to a proper vape shop and they'll help you choose something suitable. And don't push yourself too hard to drop the nicotine strength too quickly. It's not a race

Worked for me too. Haven't smoked in 3 years although I do use my vape alot so determined to cut down and save it for evenings only.

I wasn't a heavy smoker and started and stayed on the lowest strength liquid you can buy.

Had a drunken night out last year and in a fit of madness had a cigarette and it tasted vile so I guess you could say switching to vaping worked!

I gave up a 25 year 14 a day habit with my vape! It was painless although I used it as a dummy at first!
I still vape now, 5 years later but have halved the amount of nicotine and am not pressuring myself to reduce further
It is the best thing I've ever done for my health.. and bank account!
Go to a vape shop and they will show you the ranges available
( then look online to see what is available
I recommend a site called Grey haze

For work reasons I was, at one point, steeped in the relative health harms and benefits of smoking/not smoking/vaping. Best is to do neither but there is loads of good evidence that vaping is not nearly as bad for you as smoking, and many people use it to quit. And the tobacco industry is utterly evil, so at least you're not handing your money to Big Tobacco any more (child labour, work hazardous to health and no protection for the children that are missing their education to farm tobacco).

I gave up with a vape with absolutely no problem. That said, 9 years on I am still vapingShock I am on the lowest nicotine level but I guess in reality I just swapped one addiction for another.
I don't regret it though as I no longer stink of fags Wink

I switched to vaping to stop smoking. Then vaped for about 3 years, then just gave up cold turkey last Christmas and not touched either since.

I think vaping can end up being more of a habit than smoking because every 5mins you have a puff, but you can reduce the nicotine which helps massively.

Health improved greatly from smoking to vaping, and then vaping to nothing. Lungs are amazing if you let them do their job properly 😂

I persuaded DH to swap cigs for vapes and you could see the improvement in less than a week. His skin looked better. He smelled better as well.

I used one of those inexpensive e cigs for a few weeks. When it stopped working I didn't bother to replace it, and managed to stay off the cigarettes ever since. I considered buying a fancy vape, but felt like I'd just be swapping one addiction for another and would keep using it just to get my money's worth.
