Has anyone successfully a UPS (or similar) package that seems to be MIA

Am hoping for some good news stories ;) I bought something from Vinted and it was sent out via UPS on 28th July and then nothing since. Really frustrating as the item was something I'd been after for ages. They've said I need to wait until 17th as the officially lost.

Has anyone else had this but parcel miraculously turned up.

😉

I have extensive experience dealing with UPS and rate them highly. Losses are not usual with them.

When an item is not delivered, they require around 10 working days to do what they call a 'Tracer'. This is where they back check the route of the item including scans and the delivery gps. I'd say it is 50/50 on the success rate.

If they cannot trace the location of your item, they will declare it lost and the sender can then claim on the 'failure of service' or standard liability insurance. This applies to all packages unless the contents were prohibited.

I have had packages turn up months later but the chances are the label has come off at the main hub in Tamworth and it's now sitting in one of the cages with no way of identifying the receiver.

Remember, it is the sender's responsibility to ensure the item reaches you, not yours to chase UPS or to do the legwork in claiming.

Thank you - that's really helpful. Hopefully it's just got delayed somewhere and will turn up.
