And talk to me about your string of hearts.

I'm like the grim reaper of green things yet some how I've managed to grow a very decent string of hearts. Only thing is, it now trails on the floor from our highest shelf/ windowsill. What do I do with it? We don't have anywhere suitable that I can create a taller perch/ hanger for it but I'm worried it'll get damaged on the floor.

What do I do? Can I prune it?

You can prune it and propagate it and then plant it back in the original pot with the rest of the plant or plant it up in a new pot Grin

Of course you can cut it back! And propagate the cuttings too, by just laying them on gritty compost kept slightly damp. They produce underground tubers like little potatoes, which also form on the leaf nodes too. These can be rooted as previously mentioned.
