Still playing on my mind

Morning. I'm not really sure what I want out of this but it's something that's still playing on my mind and I suppose I'd like opinions on wether the response I received was warranted or not.

On the weekend I was out for the day with my husband, sister and her partner. We ended up in a bar at about 8pm and had a couple of drinks and a dance etc (not drunk, not rowdy). When we went to leave, me and my sisters partner (male) still had plenty of our drinks left. They were beers in plastic bottles (which look similar to the glass bottled versions) and so assumed we would be able to take them with us (we were heading to wait for the bus). As we walked through the front door, the bouncer forcefully grabbed my wrist and pulled my arm up and back, without saying anything. It really hurt and took me by surprise. The manager then appeared and began to aggressively shout at me that I couldn't take my drink and should finish it and 'fuck off' which I proceeded to do. I didn't really say anything as I was really shocked. My sisters partner wasn't spoken to or acknowledged whatsoever despite being stood next to us and also carrying a drink.
For context, I am a very short woman, and he is a broad, tall bloke.
Now perhaps I should have known not to take the drink (this is the first time I have been out somewhere like that in years) but the response of the bouncer and the manager seemed so over the top and intimidating, particularly as my sisters partner wasn't confronted at all.
