Hi,

I'm flying internationally from Manchester airport next week, how many hours early should I get there?

All the commotion on the news has made me anxious 😬

Thanks Smile

This is at least the second thread on the very same subject today. Don't arrive earlier than your airline tells you. Should be fine.

Sailed through 2 weeks ago no issues at all

terminal 2 however
dirty disgusting and too many people not enough places to eat or drink!

3 hours is fine unless you are travelling in the middle of the day at the weekend and then I am not sure.

I travelled mid afternoon, midweek in July and there were no problems at all. I was through and airside within half an hour. I do take carry on luggage only which saved some time as there were longish queues for checking in hold luggage - but probably only half an hour or so.

Weekends I'm not sure - they are likely to be busier but I would follow the airline recommendations. People getting there too early are partly the reason for some of the delays.

No more than 3 hours, as people being too early is what causes the problems.

Flew out on Sunday terminal 3, no delays, many people had paid extra for fast track but normal track was quicker so more fool them.

We were in T2 on Sunday, mid day. Make sure you check in online. Big queues for security but it's August, I'm sure they were big pre covid too. Everything well managed and queues moving quickly. If you're going at a meal time there will be a wait at all the outlets, might be worth taking snacks so you aren't desperately hungry. It wasn't as bad as we feared by any stretch.
