Rhodes - October half term

Has anyone been to Rhodes for October half term? Wondering if the weather will be good enough at that time of year. Don’t want baking hot. Ideally mid-20s and can use the pool weather. Like Cyprus or the Canaries.

We're going and have been told that it'll be early to mid-20s

We've been to Crete in October. Nice temp during the day but a little cooler at night so you will need a jumper and maybe some jeans for the nights.
It was lovely and quiet as the tourist rush was over and resorts were starting to wind down.

The weather will probably be ok but that airport is horrid. Queued buses with nowhere to wait for transfers. This was last year so may be better. I'd choose any other Island tbh.

We found the weather perfect for us in October half term. Hot enough to lay out and swim but not intensive enough burn.
The only thing I will say is that it's right at the very end of their holiday season so things may be shut or shutting

Weather will be okay but pools will be freezing. Sea will be cold but warmer than the pool and swimable.

Can be rainy but it'll be warmer than here. We go to Greece a lot!

Thanks that’s really helpful to know. Looking at options as have left it relatively late!

It should still be warm enough for the beach and the sea. Greece, like much of Europe has been particularly hot this year, so the sea has had plenty of time to warm up and remain warmish.

You can also expect some rain.

It is a large island, the largest in the Dodecanese, So do research your actual destination.

Don’t assume packages are the best value either, they may be, but see how things compare with sorting things independently.

Also, arrange your own transfer to/from the airport if you can.

In spite of recent expansion, the airport was not designed for the numbers it now handles, although October should be quieter. The nearby (walking distance) village of Paradissi offers cafes and restaurants in the event of a flight delay. But once you have hone through you are restricted to what is available within the airport.

I've been in mid-October. The weather was lovely and the sea was warm.

We went to Rhodes last October half term. The pool was freezing. Dc8 didn’t care and stayed on the water slides for hours going blue. Dc6 could only manager 15 minutes at a time. It was windy so I couldn’t get comfy but without the wind would have been fine out of the pool. The pool will always be freezing that time of year ime. Even if they say it’s heated.

We had a car so weren’t restricted to the resort which I’d recommend at that time of year. We were right near Lindos and spent some time there, it’s perfect weather for wandering.
