Would you eat this?

So organised me prepped a chilli for this eve and left the house at 9:40. Came home and the slow cooked wasn't on. Either it went off earlier OR it never went on. Probably the later.

I had pre fried everything so it was hot when I put the lid on and the pot is insulated. So essentially it's all tepid now and could have been for 6+ hours. We shouldn't eat it, should we?

If it makes a difference it's a chilli made with turkey mince as we don't eat red meat.

Wouldn’t chance it, sorry, and I’m very relaxed about food generally (barring hygiene rules obviously!)

Haggisfish3 · 09/08/2022 16:44

Nope.

Dotcheck · 09/08/2022 16:44

Nope

Dotcheck · 09/08/2022 16:45

( unless you fancy a day off tomorrow due to food poisoning?)

ExpectantElk · 09/08/2022 16:46

I knew it was a no.... You know when you write and post something and instantly know the answer....ugh.

At least I have all the raw ingredients bar the turkey mince to make it again tomorrow!

My sister did that once. She won't be doing it ever again, I would bin it.

cherrypiepie · 09/08/2022 18:45

Nope!

Denny53 · 09/08/2022 18:47

Not worth the risk. If you end up needing a day off work or can’t look after children etc it’s really not worth it

Aquamarine1029 · 09/08/2022 19:51

What a shame! That's happened to me, op. It's not worth the risk.
