Where to get inexpensive wedding rings?

I lost my wedding ring a long time ago. DH’s ring broke, he had it mended and it broke again, so we gave up with it.

I really want to replace them now, but our wedding was nearly 20 years ago and rings are much more expensive now. I can afford to buy new ones but don’t want to spend too much. DH would be very against spending much. We have some big expenditure coming up and then there’s increasing energy costs etc.

A few years ago I found what looked like a good online jeweller that had a nice selection of rings at reasonable prices. I can’t find it now and it might not even exist any more!

Can anyone recommend a suitable online jeweller? DH would probably be happy with the cheapest of the cheap 😁 but I want an 18ct one like my original one, because 9ct gold irritates my skin.

Also where can I get a ring gauge?

Do you have any other unwanted jewellery which you could have made in to rings? DH and I had our rings made for our marriage (long time ago) and it wasn't ridiculously expensive, and more recently a friend had some inherited jewellery made in to something she would actually wear.

You could get second hand ones. I was in an ordinary looking jewellers on my local high street this week getting a watch battery put in and they must have had a hundred second hand rings. Wedding and engagement.

Buy second hand, plenty of people sell them to brokers

I don’t have any other jewellery, no. I don’t want second hand, I know it sounds a bit precious but I don’t want something that was for someone else’s marriage. I’m happy to have other second hand stuff, clothes etc, but not this!

Birmingham - jewellery quarter.

I would go to the Jewellery Quarter, but I guess that depends how close you are to Birmingham.

Try online elmajewellery.co.uk

Hm, I could do a day trip to Birmingham if it was worth it!
Thanks @RippleQueen , I’ll have a look at that.
