Outdoor Autumn Party ideas

We're giving DS (18) and his pals a send off to uni at the beginning of next month and looking for ideas for food, decorations etc.

We live rurally and have lots of room, a gazebo and will get a fire pit.

We're not massive entertainers so would welcome any ideas.

Chicken breasts marinaded in Nando’s (you can buy their marinade in supermarkets), cooked on bbq and put in ciabattas. Always went down a storm with our teens.

We toast these cinnamon buns like this
At our outdoor Halloween parties, we’ve had success playing the doughnut on a string game, apple bobbing, and tin can toss.
For my DH’s birthday, we bought a beer pong table and my DC love it!

I'd keep it simple and go with pizzas (ordered in or get an outdoor pizza oven) and get them some beers or whatever they like to drink. BBQ otherwise.

I've got an 18 year old nephew and can't imagine him and his mates wanting much more than this or paying a great deal of attention to decorations or cakes or things like that.

Probably best to just ask them what they really fancy eating or doing and see if it's feasible.

Yup, pizzas, all the way.

Then I would do bowls of pick n mix sweets, marshmallows and sticks for toasting.
