Prams on house contents insurance

We are buying an expensive travel system, approx £1600 worth of buggy. If it gets stolen, would it be covered on house contents insurance or would it need declaring?

I know that insurance policies are all different, so what wording or part of the insurance should I be looking at?

I think it's the Personal Possessions section. There will be a limit for individual items depending on the policy. If your pram is worth more than that limit it needs to be specified. I should imagine there will be restrictions on what is covered though - much like a bike. May be one to clarify with the insurer.

£1600?
You could buy a car for that!

@bigbluebus thank you, I will look at the section specifically, and if it's not clear I will call them.

@MrsOwainGlyndŵr you could buy a car, but you also could with £500 or £500,000 🤷🏻‍♀️
