Dishwasher tablets

Hi there, sorry a boring Saturday thread I know!
I've been using Tesco own brand dishwasher tablets for a long time and am happy with the quality of the washing. Lately I've noticed my cups are all tea stains and it's driving me mad. I'm wondering if Tesco have changed the tablets or should I spend a little more to get better quality dishwasher tablets? I have to bleach the cups every few weeks to clean them.
I clean the dishwater regularly. Any other ideas. Thanks

Do you use rinse aid and salt? I use this with smol tabs which works well

Misses the point but try baking powder to clean off tea stains. Bleach seems extreme.

Mine started doing this and I realised that the glaze on some of my mugs has worn away over the years, leaving them susceptible to staining.

I've used the Tesco own-brand dishwasher tablets and they are pretty good, but IMO, the Aldi lemon 3-in -1 dishwasher tablets are superior (and cheaper). If your glaze has worn off a bit though, nothing will stop the staining from happening.

Baking powder is great for taking off tea stains. I’ve recently changed to Smol for my tablets, washing detergent and surface spray in an effort to be more environmentally conscious and been really pleased with them so far.

I did wonder about the glaze but some of the cups are very new. I'll give the aldi tablets a go.
Thanks ladies for the help

Finish Quantum Infinity tablets are all I’ll ever use, along with Finish Salt and Rinse Aid too, the other brands just don’t cut it.

Funnily enough I've had this problem recently - new mugs as well as old, Costco dishwasher pods. Can't wait for the giant tub to be finished so I can use something else. I remember the same happening a while ago with Tesco tablets, but I've always been fine with Costco so they must have changed something.
