Will old seeds grow?

Asda are selling some of those kits which are a bucket and everything you need to grow your own.... sunflowers, sweet peas etc.

They are not reduced but they all says display until 31st May 20022.
Could any keen gardeners tell me whether the seeds should still be ok or whether I'd be wasting my money.

It depends how they've been stored--seeds, especially large ones, don't like excessive heat much. I've successfully grown sweet pea and sunflower seeds that were several years old, but my seed tin is usually kept in a cool place.

I wouldn't chance it, especially since places like Premier seeds and Wilko sell really inexpensive packets of good, fresh seeds with good high germination rates.
