OVO 2 year fixed deal

Did anyone else sign up to this a couple of months ago?
My British gas fixed plan came to an end and Ovo were offering a 2 year fixed for the same price as BH non fixed
I've now had an email from Ovo stating they will be increasing my DD to cover rising prices. I can't get hold of them on the phone, they must be busy🙄
How can it increase if it was fixed?

It's the price per kwh that's fixed not the monthly payment

If your payment isn't covering your usage then you would need to pay more than the current monthly payment

How does the price per kwh and standing charge compare to what you paid before? Do you have a credit or debit balance?

Price per kwh was 1p more on gas and 2p more on electric compared to what BG were offering. I can't find where I wrote the comparison just now so can't remember the standing charge comparison but they quoted on my yearly usage
