Can Propranolol make your heart rate too low?

Posting here for traffic-
I’m not comfortable taking medication- but need to take the above to control my anxiety when flying. I’ve been prescribed 40mg but I feel this is too high and cause adverse sideeffects - I’m thinking if cutting a tablet into two which would lower the dosage. But would it cause my heart rate to go too low? My usual resting heart rate is between 58-64

My normal resting heart rate is between 42 and 44.

When I take co-codamol it goes down to 38. So I think some medications can do that.

I've never experienced any negative side effects from it dropping a bit though

my gp took me off it for exactly that reason

I take 40mg daily. Have been on 160mg daily before for anxiety. I’m 35 now, been on it ten years. Never had a problem.

My resting heart rate was similar to yours . I take 80 mg once or twice a day and haven't noticed any difference to my heart rate in terms of dropping too low.
