Paddling pool with sprinklers

Thinking of investing in one for the grandkids - this type of thing. Has anyone got one/tried one? Any recommendations?

Before anyone raises the issue, I'm in the rainy north, hosepipe bans don't look very likely.

We had one similar and it was naff. The pictures on amazon are superimposed in an attempt to make the thing look bigger than it is. You need a really powerful hose/water pressure to get anything more than a little sprinkle out of the holes and ours broke after the second use.

Thanks. I was cautious because some of the claims made on there do look a bit dubious. I'll maybe go for an ordinary pool and/or using the sprinkler attachment on the hose.

Just because we don’t have a hosepipe ban in the north we still should be mindful of our water usage/wastage.

I was going to suggest this OP (I'm also in the rainy north). We've gone for a normal sprinkler and a fast set pool.

Paddling pools take forever to fill so the sprinkler is nice for a quick fix. Depending on the age of your GCs a 'tuff tray' filled with water goes down well too if they're small enough.

Don't be too smug. In the last 20 years my parents in the north have had far more hosepipe bans than me.

3YO DS and his cousins spent the best part of an hour playing with the sprinkler a while ago, he’s never lasted that long with the paddling pool!

Oh, I'm not, but I'm really mainly looking for something for the next month or two when, cross fingers, we seem unlikely to get to drought conditions.
