My step son went on holiday to abroad and he came back and hasn't been well, flu, sickness etc, no positive covid tests, fever, freezing cold, rash all over body, delirious, he lives with his grandparents, are saying he is delirious, can't hold a glass, isn't eating, drinking, rash all over, laying in the hall way, mouth is full of ulcers, can't get out of bed. Then I hear today that he slept with multiple girls on holiday and thinks he has caught an sti. Then we hear he went to the doctor Wednesday, who sent him away, saying it's a yeast infection and gave him a pill for it. but the grandparents said he couldn't even get out of bed, then went to chemist on Sunday and got medication that cost £200! , how did he go out without anyone knowing. I don't think any sti can cause these symptoms..my children were suppose to go there for two days over the summer holidays but they aren't allowed round now because of this 'infection' but now they aren't allowed round..I'm absolutely furious! Do I demand an explanation or leave it?? The day before my children were suppose to go round, my step son went back to work and had been back all week. So why couldnt they go round? Also iv said unless I see a hiv test they are not seeing him. Any advice? Thank you

Has your dh been around to visit his son to see how he actually is and to clear up any misunderstandings? It all sounds like a bit of a drama over nothing.

Sounds as though the dgp's don't really want your children for 2 days and are looking for an excuse not to have them. Stepson is well enough to go to work so no problem from his pov.

Yes why do you need to see a HIV test? You do know you can't get HIV just by being near someonewho has it?

@twinmum80 Even if he has contracted HIV (symptoms if he had any would show after at least 2 weeks) he would be no risk whatsoever to your family ...you do know how HIV is transmitted? www.tht.org.uk/hiv-and-sexual-health/about-hiv/how-hiv-transmitted

He might just have a bad cold/fever or might be something else. Would be best he contact his local sexual health clinic and discuss his symptoms and even if feeling better still get tested

If your step son is back at work then what is the problem?

As for wanting an HIV test - what on earth is that about?

Happylittlethoughts · 17/08/2022 17:21

You sound a little crazy to be honest.
Demanding explanations and HIV tests because 2 days were cancelled 🤣🤣 Maybe they just couldn't face having you...
