Has anyone recently bought black slate hearth tiles?

My open fireplace is being replaced by an eco-stove in September and I need to choose some black slate hearth tiles, ideally 30x30cm. Topps Tiles has some, but the reviews are mixed. I'm struggling to find another local outlet that stocks an alternative. I'm slowly working through some online options, one Google search result at a time, ordering samples where I can. Any recommendations?

It’s a while ago, but we got our slate hearth from the place we got the fireplace. It’s not tiles though, it’s a piece of slate.

Can the people who are installing the wood burner not supply? I

We need tiles, because we are not replacing the surround. The tiles need to be fitted to the surround. The stove fitter doesn't supply tiles.

We have had black hearth tiles (black quarry tiles, no idea where they came from) and now have a slab of slate. Both equally good.
Have you tried a stove and fire shop and ask if they supply/recommend anything?
