Lidl still competitive?

Used to regularly use Lidl to keep my weekly shop down but lockdowns etc put me more onto online delivery shops. If I go back now, will I still find it a bargain compared to other supermarkets? So much has changed in the last couple of years and this year with price rises everywhere I wondered if Lidl was still good value?

Yup

Definitely. I popped to Sainsbury's the other week and was horrified at the price difference between there and Lidl where I normally shop. I'm sticking with Lidl!

Yes. I buy almost all my basic groceries & household stuff at Lidl, then top up on nice treats from M&S, Waitrose, local farm shop etc. Along with Aldi, Lidl are consistently the cheapest. If anything, the gap between them & Sainsburys, who have completely lost the plot on price, has grown wider.

Tesco is the cheapest shop overall, I compared full basket loads a few months ago. You can get everything from there without the need to go anywhere else for certain bits like you do with Lidl and the Clubcard points can be saved to pay towards the big Christmas shop.

I meal plan and buy the delivery saver so I never have to go to the shop which saves time and fuel.

Tesco is definitely more expensive for my shopping basket. I'm a long standing Aldi and Lidl shopper, both are clise to home.

OK good to know. I actually loved Lidl, I always thought the quality great compared to Asda and Tesco. Just haven't done my weekly shop there for ages and was afraid it could have caught up price-wise with others. Good to hear it hasn't!
