Just run it under a cold tap for ages. Like 20 minutes longer than you think it needs.

Then Acriflex. Burn cream, very good.

Keep it in cold water (& change water a few times) as long as he can

Take paracetamol
Best to leave it to fresh air rather than put creams on it

But it depends on how bad the burn is Shock

Is it in cold water or under a running tap. The second is what you want.

I'm not sure if you can still buy it but we always swore buy burneze spray when I was growing up.

When my husband burned his hand the nurse told him to keep it covered with cling film, the pain was increased by air exposure

Hold under running water and then put aloe vera gel on it

Cling film like a previous poster suggested - it is magic

PurpleBag · 04/08/2022 20:59

Agree with cling film. First thing the hospital did when I had a burn. It keeps the air off it, which causes the pain. Make sure you've cooled it down for a long time with cold water to take heat out of it.

Blue4YOU · 04/08/2022 21:04

Honestly- cold water then immediately wrap in clingfilm

Blue4YOU · 04/08/2022 21:05

You need the clingfilm more than a gel! I burned myself with an iron and didn’t get the clingfilm on quickly enough- scar now
