German citizenship card - passport number changed

DD is in Germany and travelling in next few hours to the UK. She lost her British passport while there and just realised the new passport has a different number to the original passport number on her Citizenship Card, which she'll have to present on return. Passport photo and Citizenship Card photos are clearly the same person and she has paperwork to showing previous passport and emails re renewal.

Anyone know if there are likely to be any complications on return.

She's been trying to contact British Embassy in Berlin, but can't get through.

Does she live in Germany? Does she need to show her citizenship card to stop her passport being stamped? I have dual nationality and show local ID to EU control and UK passport to UK control. Not both at once.
