Kids echo dot - setting up a routine

Hoping there's someone on here who knows if this is possible before I throw the thing out of the window. Just got DD a kids echo dot for her room. One of the main reasons is so she can listen to audibooks and have white noise on while she's sleeping. I can get it to play the books and the sleep sounds upon asking but ideally I'd like to get it to stop reading the book after a specific period of time and then switch to the white noise without needing any human input. Does anyone know if you can do this?

Yes you can. It does need to be for a specific time though as far as I’m aware.

so - routine would be to set volume at 2/3 and play audio book for 30 minutes. I think you’d then need a separate routine for the night sounds but you can have that looping for hours. Or just ‘on’ and then it won’t turn off until you ask it to.

This is what mine looks like. I’d recommend setting it up now as you want to check the settings and then change the timings!

I’m trying to work out how to configure my son’s Dot to do similar.

can I ask where people are located kids audiobooks with a British accent? We have Spotify and was streaming through that but it’s being glitchy and not at all soothing.
