Boiling hot feet

Does anyone else get really hot feet in the evening? I have plantar fascitis as well which doesn't help but nothing I've tried so far has helped ( cooling sprays, biofreeze etc).

It's so annoying and difficult to relax 😭

Whoops pressed post too soon. I live in these. Thinking of buying another pair so there's always one ready to go.

I had plantar fasciitis and its awful I sympathise. Never got really hot feet though that I recall! Thank fully, after about 18mths- and after stopping all the physio etc- it disappeared!

Have you tried putting your feet in a bucket of water or shallow bath to cool them off? Have you checked your thyroid and sugar levels?

How old are you? It's possibly a sign of perimenopause.

I had it, keeping me awake.

However, turned out I had a lot of things wrong- plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, low vit d, low iron, low thyroid and perimenopause ... can't remember which was most likely the offender from a tim8ng point of view!

I found using very watery foot lotion helped them feel cooler.

I used to have very hot feet but started wim hoff (cold water showers) in March and now only get hot swollen feet when I don't have a cold part of my shower.

For me this is hormonal, I get it in the 2-3 days before my period.

I have a cold shower before bed.
Boring I know but these hormonal impacts get better with magnesium, zinc, vitamin B and regular exercise. But mostly I just wait a few days and get through that awful time of month.

I hate having hot feet and they frequently keep me awake at night. I find i suffer the most when it's the summer. I go barefoot a lot in the summer and I wonder if I get used to having coldish feet in the day, then when Im lying flat in bed they aren't colder than the rest of me so feel very hot if that makes sense?

I've started making sure I put a pair of socks on in the evening before bed to see if that helps. I also have peppermint cooling foot lotion for when it's annoying me, from the body shop.

PeacockMansion · 03/08/2022 22:14

Ok - thank you!! Those socks look amazing and sounds like I need to start taking some supplements. I turned 40 last week. My feet must know... It's so irritating and the Plantar fascitis is so painful. I need to lose weight and start taking care of myself!

I get hot feet too! It's so annoying. I'm post menopausal. I run the cold shower over my feet when I'm getting ready for bed and that helps a bit.

BocolateChiscuits · 03/08/2022 22:49

Magnesium tablets and putting freeze packs at the bottom of the bed.

Interesting what PP was saying about cold showers. Have tried it occasionally, am going to be more consistent now.

Some said recently they put on wet socks which is logical evaporation cooling your feet down
