Dumbest thing you've hear an adult say when angry

One reason I try not to lose my shit in front of other people is I don't want to end up saying something ridiculous while in a temper.

Two of my 'favourite' ridiculous angry statements:

FIL (when annoyed at my DH): 'You shouldn't make mistakes! NEVER MAKE MISTAKES!'

Uhm - if people realised they were making a mistake, they wouldn't make it. You can't, y'know, make a decision never to make them?

DH (in a bad mood about unrelated thing, sees the cleaner has Moved a Houseplant): 'SHE'S DECIDING HOW WE LIVE OUR LIVES!'

I'm honestly not sure how I kept a straight face.

The best thing I’ve ever heard is ‘I should be allowed the Easter weekend off work as I’m Christian and want to celebrate Jesus’ birthday.’ This was said at a staff meeting when discussing the schedule and shifts.

They sound a tad confused @wednesday32 !

Exh used to threaten to put our ds through a window.. I once asked him if he really thought about doing that and what a twat he sounded like saying it..
Wish his dm had heard him say it.

I did leave him.

Mil did eventually have to face how violent he was when he tried to punch her. At pensioner age on her own doorstep.

A dinner lady to my brother when he was sniggering at being told off, circa 1985:

"I'll make you laugh in a minute, only you won't be laughing!"

When an adult tells a little child in distress just to “man up”!. It’s the most idiotic, anger inducing (in me) statement a grown man or woman can tell a small child. It makes the adult sound and look utterly pathetic.

Well the most idiotic thing I've said as an adult was "when we're you planning on getting us?". I was angry at hearing the news, but clearly that moment was when he planned on telling us! 🙄

DH telling ds that reason he had a headache was because he guzzled his drink too fast in the restaurant. Not sure either kid had ever managed to take him seriously after that one.

When I was in high school a teacher was losing control of the class and getting very stressed, at some point one of my classmates said “oh come on Miss!” And the teacher screeched “Don’t you come on me!!!”
Whole class erupted with laughter and she never did regain her decorum that day 😂
