Calendar app dropping out entries! What kind of calendar/diary do you use?

At least I'm not losing my marbles!

Missed two important events this week (one social, one hobby-related). Looked back in texts and yes, everything agreed a few weeks ago. I'm sitting there like, how did I not put these in diary? That is not me at all.

Then looked back over my texts and realised things I'd definitely put the diary recently are missing! This is the standard calendar app in my Samsung phone.

Just thinking back over the last few weeks and there have been a few near misses with me wondering why tf I hadn't put something in the diary.

I've switched to Google calendar in hopes that will be reliable.

This is exactly why I stuck to a written diary for an embarrassingly long time. I'm going to have to go back to that, aren't I? What do you use?

Same op! I have tried a few but they have been unreliable. Entries just keep vanishing.

Coffeetree · 03/08/2022 21:27

I thought it was me but then there a couple of things I distinctly remember putting in which are gone.

Have you gone back to a paper diary? I used one until 2019!

Just mortifying to let people down.

I've been using Google Calendar for years. Works brilliantly.

Good to know! The NSA will know all about my Pilates classes but oh well.

I just use a paper diary. Find it so much easier than a screen one. Lives in my bag all the time. Literally organise my whole life in it

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 03/08/2022 23:22

I use cozi. Shared across 7 members of my family and never had anything go missing.

Paper calendar (with columns for each family member) on the wall in the kitchen & Google Calendar for each of us plus Family Share one for shared events. Plus Outlook calendar on my laptop for historic record keeping. Kids rarely look at the paper one & DH ignores reminders on the electronic one. I update all of them. Also use my Alarm app for really important things & Life Reminders for everyday things that have to be done often - such as the monthly glass recycling

Family Wall app. Free version is amazing. So much better than the iPhone standard app. Love that it has lists etc in there too.

BigBunkers · 04/08/2022 05:24

Google calendar, never had anything disappear. Shared between two of us no problem

torquewench · 04/08/2022 05:50

Following as my Samsung also deletes my appointments 🤬

AiryFairy1 · 04/08/2022 06:23

I’ve had this with iCal on my iPhone - I was tracking my period (or thought I was), everything just vanished 😩
I have just ordered a wall planner with coloured dot stickers and am aiming to start the next term the most organised I’ve ever been. Watch this space 😅

Monkeybutt1 · 04/08/2022 07:38

Google calendar which my dh also uses so we invite each other to everything so at both know who is where, never had an issue at all.

Skethylita · 04/08/2022 09:59

A paper calendar which lives in the living room and that any family member can add to. Nothing ever vanishes from that 😁

Following. Not had any deletions but find the calendar app on my phone is not great. I am used to using outlook at work.
