I have had two messages today asking when they will get a reply to the recruitment form they have completed on our website. We aren't actively recruiting right now. They have just gone onto our website, clicked recruitment and filled out a very short form registering their interest.
I'm new to running a business so perhaps this is expected these days but when I have been job hunting in the past I have not had replies for jobs unless they were offering an interview. Now apparently I need to reply to several people a week even though I am not even recruiting!
Is this really expected now? If it is, I will try and find the time for it but it is ran by 2 people and I don't have much time for things like this.
