Ok so I'm a single parent to a 2.5 year old. She's been unwell this week and has therefore been off for 2 days - resulting in me taking two days off work. Her dad point blank refuses to take any responsibility and so I've given up asking him and I have no family local.
My dad has a caravan on the Norfolk coast that we visit regularly and he is popping over for a few nights tomorrow with my siblings (29, 12) and stepmum. He has very kindly offered to take DD so that I can work Friday to make up for my loss of earnings and have a couple nights break.
So, this is the first time I've had a child free night (or 2!!) since she was born - someone give me an idea of something to do!! She's going tomorrow night and will return late Saturday night. I'm working until 5 Friday but free after that! I have a dog so can't totally abandon the house for the night, so this needs to be considered.
