BBC mountain bike coverage - bit shit

Watching I have no idea how many riders there are in total. Are there only 6? As that’s the only ones covered. They only ever give the times for 1-4. No time gap for anyone else. Surely once a lap they can give a lost of every rider? I’ve noticed this with other distance events, they don’t seem to be able to let you know what’s going on.
i know who 1-4 is, and then there is someone from Kenya and jersey but it’s never told me what places the last 2 are or their time gap. I’m assuming it’s just the 6 riders?? Google isn’t helping.

Nope, watched the entire race to the end and they stop once number 4 comes in, no other riders. No other times, pointless 90mins now. Rant over.

According to this there was 8 starters but 3 got lapped and therefore didn't finish. I missed the start and have been doing other things so didn't see much of it but I guess on a course like that they can only get so much coverage. www.birmingham2022.com/schedule/day-by-day

Thanks! Why couldn’t they show everyone’s time gap then when they passed the finish if there was the only 7 left in it, was really confusing to watch.

It does make you wonder, i'm not all that familiar with mountain biking but they must all have the clock running against them.

Didn’t watch it (keen mtb’er myself) but I can imagine it was crap, every time the Bbc has covered it, it’s dull as ditchwater.

Redbull coverage however is excellent, both downhill and xc. Shame they’re losing ther rights in a few weeks after many years, for next season. Discovery taking over and it’ll be crap too.
