My daughter is 10 but very tall for her age, wears a size 15-16 in clothes and seems to be constantly growing through clothes and shoe sizes very quickly. It's tricky enough finding age appropriate clothes for her but today I'm at the end of my tether with shoes.
She's been wearing a pair of Nike size 6 so I ordered a couple of styles of new trainers in size 6.5 and 7 for her to try....skechers and Adidas. I only mention the brands as I have noticed the fit varies widely between brands. As it happens they sent me size 7 and 8 skechers by mistake. Anyway, not one pair fit her but only because of her big toe!!! The rest of her foot is slim and skinny and the shoe feels roomy around her ankle etc but her toe is pushing tops of all the shoes. I don't think we can go any higher in sizes as they would be too loose everywhere else on her foot and look like clown shoes.
I'm having to order online as I can't easily get out to any shops so was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how you solved it or recommendations for brands that come up big? I thought my daughter would the easy one to sort out for new school stuff as my son has sensory issues but this is stressing me out!
