Dentists / assistants help - MILD Sleep Apnea

I'm just under the threshold for a CPAP machine.

I've tried everything from sprays, strips, mouth guards, nose clips, nose inserts.

The hospital wrote on my assessment (I've not spoken to anyone regarding the results) that I should have a guard fitted by the dentist. I called my dentist and they booked me in for a cast. I said I'd prefer some info first on how affective it is and if it's worthwhile.

That was3 months ago. I've called since but the receptionist don't seem to know much.

I thought £30 was expensive for the Snoreeze mouth guard but that really hurt and didn't help according to the app.

Does anyone know anything about such devices? I don't work so this is a lot of money Approx £300 but I'm soooo tired and I need sleep. Thanks.
